- Visual Analytics (VAI) announces the successful deployment of a large scale information sharing solution that includes the incorporation of license place recognition (LPR) data from several law enforcement agencies operating within the State of New York.
VAI's solution provides seamless search and data correlation capabilities across dozens of different criminal data sources including those acquired from LPR devices. Specifically, VAI's technologies are coupled to the data generated by the Mobile Plate Hunter-900® (MPH-900®) Digital Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system designed and manufactured by ELSAG North America, located in Brewster, NY. The MPH-900® can accurately read license plates at speeds in excess of 120 mph, processing up to 1,800 plates per minute.
ELSAG has deployed the MPH-900® in all 62 counties in New York State and more than 650 agencies across all 50 US States. Over 5,000 MPH-900® systems are deployed around the world. VAI's technologies are used to query various law enforcement data, including a number of sites incorporating the MPH-900® data, to help create a complete and concise picture of criminal events, helping to expedite investigations.
