The Network Miner is designed to expose clusters, or networks, of related information. The Network Miner searches your
data looking for particular types of data that are related by particular types of associations (links). This tool exposes
connected entities and reveals hidden networks of associations to uncover heavily connected data objects that may be
targets for further analysis and investigation.
The Network Miner is a very effective tool for quickly processing large data stores (of 20 million records or more)
helping to define a starting point for an analysis as it traverses full data sets to visually expose networks of
related information, quickly identifying areas of heavy connections. Network Miner can be configured to manage
the size of a data extraction – allowing the user to set filtering and output conditions. Results can be summarized
by the number of records, unique entities, or by a value accumulation.
Network Miner Example
Analysts choose an Information Set containing a variety of data object types – people, addresses, phones, ID numbers, organizations,
accounts, transaction, etc. The analyst can then choose the type(s) of association (links between objects types) to be searched.
Network Miner searches the data and reveals all relationships and networks intersected or based on these associations.
