VisuaLinks Modeling Training

The VisuaLinks Modeling Training is a 2-day course geared towards those users that will actually create the mappings between VisuaLinks and the database. This class covers a number of methodological approaches to data modeling and provides hands-on scenarios using a number of different data sets.

Although this class is geared more towards technical users, it can be taken by anyone with a fundamental understanding of data and databases.

This course is designed to provide students with:

  An understanding of database modeling concepts
  An understanding of issues surrounding database content
  Instructor-led, hands-on exercises:

• Create a data model
• Connect to various data sources
• Create objects assigning keys and attributes
• Create associations assigning keys and attributes
• Extract attribute values using lookup tables
• Transform values using Disambiguator functions

Prerequisites
The VisuaLinks Standard User Training and VisuaLinks Professional User Training courses must be completed prior to attending the VisuaLinks Modeling course.
